Product SpotLight: Banks Expands Jeep Product Line

Gale Banks Engineering is pleased to announce new additions to its power product line for Jeep vehicles. Starting with the new '07 3.8L V-6 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited 4-door, Banks has created durable, 100% stainless steel TorqueTubes Exhaust Manifold Assemblies, that carry a lifetime warranty, and are a perfect match with the Banks 100% stainless steel Monster Exhaust system. The bolt-on TorqueTubes are tuned to maximize exhaust extraction, which minimizes backpressure and increases torque. The Banks Monster Exhaust's polished muffler flows 140% better than stock and delivers a rich, authoritative sound. TorqueTubes and Monster Exhaust are also available for '91-02 2.5L I-4 and '91-06 4.0L I-6 Jeeps. New for '97-06 4.0L I-6 Jeeps is Banks Ram-Air Intake which more than doubles the stock airflow for increased power and better mileage. Components are available separately or packaged together. Banks Stinger system improves 4.0L power with its high-flowing Ram-Air Intake and the backpressure-slashing Monster Exhaust System. PowerPack adds TorqueTubes to the Stinger components for even greater performance. MORE AIR = MORE HORSEPOWER & TORQUE
Banks Ram-Air Intake Now Available for 1997-06 Jeep 4.0L Banks Engineering Jeep RamAir Intake   |   Banks Engineering Jeep RamAir Intake The formula is simple: let more air in and more air out, and engine efficiency improves. Boosted efficiency means more power, less wear and tear, and an all-around better vehicle. The science has been around for ages, but now it has taken a high-tech turn with the new Banks Ram-Air Intake System for the 1997-06 Jeep 4.0L 6-cylinder. In documented flow tests, the Banks cold-air intake flowed up to 79% better than stock. Banks lifetime filters have a multitude of plies for maximum particulate removal. To optimize airflow, the Banks engineers designed a large filter with a giant outlet in a complete housing, and streamlined all the components. The large filter also means fewer filter cleanings. "We removed the stock system's sharp bends, restrictions and airflow chokepoints," said Peter Treydte, Banks Test Group Manager. "The Banks Ram-Air Intakes draw air from outside the engine compartment, which is cooler and denser than the engine compartment air that the stock system and other aftermarket intake systems use. And cool, dense air makes more power, increases fuel economy, reduces engine operating temperature and improves the driving experience as well." Banks Ram-Air Intake Systems are digitally designed in CAD, tested on a flowbench and the dyno, and are made in the USA. Ram-Air systems either include bellows or utilize the factory bellows, which accommodates engine movement, preventing component damage and prolonging service life. In addition, the sensors on Banks Ram-Air systems are located where they will not cause fault or error codes. To achieve maximum power, combine the Banks Ram-Air system with other high-power Jeep bolt-on components, including Banks Torque Tubes and Banks Monster Exhaust.
