Dropping a Chevy 283-350 V-8 into your '82-'97 2WD 2.2L, 2.8L, or 4.3L S-10, S-15 Jimmy, or Blazer can be made much easier if you use the correct header and motor mount combination. Hedman Hedders manufactures American-made headers specifically for this project. The thick-wall 14-gauge mandrel-bent primary tubes of Hedman's shorty model bolt up to your V-8 head and exhaust system using stout 3/8-inch flanges. The ceramic-metallic thermal coating prevents corrosion and burn through and keeps the engine compartment cooler. To properly mount the V-8 engine, the header has been designed to work seamlessly with Trans-Dapt Performance Products' S-10 motor mount kit. The mounting bracket bolts to the V-8 block, allowing the engine to bolt up using the stock 2.2L, 2.8L, or 4.3L frame mount location.
