Trail Sport Wheel Spacers on a Lifted Ford Super Duty

Sometimes it just takes a little help to cure a lot. This is true when you install wheel spacers to solve your axle or wheel and tire fitment woes. Wheel spacers are typically used to increase overall axle width, separate dual wheels, restore turning radius, and in our case, keep tires from rubbing on suspension components. Our troubles ensued when we first installed a 13.5-inch-wide tire on a lifted Ford Super Duty. We were fine with it rubbing a tad on the front leaf springs, but once we installed a nice four-link coilover conversion, the inside of the driver-side tire rubbed the new lower control arm at full lock and that problem had to be solved.   |   0811 8l 01 Trail Sport Wheel Spacers Warn Locking Hub We called up Trail Sport to help us sort out the issue, and they recommended their 1/2-inch wheel spacer set that would add 1 inch of width to the front end and keep the tires off the control arms. The 1/2-inch spacers are available for Ford F-250 and 350, Chevy, GMC, and Dodge trucks. We like Trail Sport's wheel spacers because they are made from ultra-strong 6061 billet aluminum, and the premium quality guarantees years of strength and durability. Our installation was a breeze. We kept any added work out of the picture since our stock stud length was long enough to accommodate the spacers (the studs were more than 2 inches). The stud length varies on the factory Fords from 1.5 to 2.5 inches, so be sure to check that there will still be proper thread engagement before you get started, and give Trail Sport a call to help if you're not sure.
