Auto Insurance Claims: concussion, claims advice, claim help

Question
My 12 year old son had a closed head concussion.  We have been treating him since the incident 6 months ago.  He has been to a neurologist.  The neurologist did some kind of eye screening and suggested that we take him to see the eye doctor.  We took him there and he needs contacts.  His last eye doctor appointment was in 08 in which he had 20/20 vision but they prescribed to him glasses to get him to see sharper.  My question is this, I am faxing the medical records to the insurance company.  The insurance guy said he's never heard of a concussion causing eye problems.  I checked on Web MD and there is an issue for post concussive for headaches and blurriness.  He has had on and off again headaches since his accident.  Should I send them the 08 eye exam records or hold off as it may be something they can use against my claim?

Answer
 Hello David,

Keep one thing in mind.  Insurance companies are in business to make a profit.  Therefore, you can expect them to act in a manner which is of more benefit to them than to you.

You situation is complicated.  You need a lawyer. Now.  Until you find one, I suggest you cease all negotiations.

Find a personal injury attorney who is experienced in insurance law. You can do an online search and/or see if your state bar offers referrals.

This is serious.  Good luck.
