Auto Insurance Claims: paying car rental bill, paying car rental bill

Question
I was involved in an accident that was 100% not my fault.  My car was a total loss and the other person insurance company is refusing to pay the whole rental bill.  They are saying they will only pay half. I needed a car for longer than they think I did. Do you have any advice I would like to seek an attorney but am I just wasting my time?

Answer
Hello Jenny,

Rental expenses on total loss are very hard to argue. You should talk to an attorney. Most of the time, this exact scenario is ruled by statute, and thus, you can find out how many days they have to pay after the they declare a total loss.

It is wise to talk to an attorney.

Good Luck
