Auto Insurance Claims: Landlord/Roomate Added to My Policy, invasion of privacy, licensed drivers

Comp pulled up her name through dbase she has own ins dn drive my car but bec she wn provide her dr lic & dec page they added her on to my policy. She feels this is an invasion of her privacy and is concerned w id theft. This put strain on our reationship so I moved out. I moved in w mom in law/bfriend, put change of address and they will still not remove her. Now i beinged asked to send a notorized statement incl lease, proof of utilities. I dn have anything in my name. What if someone lived in a multi dwelling/rooming house? I cant afford the incr in prem and may have to take car back to dealer. I feel my hands are tied. Please advise asap.

Hi Mia,

ALL insurance companies require that all licensed drivers in the household be listed on the policy. There is no invasion of privacy. The insurance company has the right to add drivers to your police as they become aware of them. The alternative is that they could cancell your policy instead. Since you claim to have moved out and want her to be removed from your policy, you will have to prove that you moved out. You will have to change the address on your drivers license to your new address. Re-register your car at the new address and get at least 1 bill in your name.
