Auto Insurance Claims: no win no fee, insurance regulations, insurance company

Question
Dear Sir.

I live in United Kingdom. I am writing you to ask whether is possible to drop my Now Win No Fee Claim and just pull out. I made a claim about a year and a half ago. I would like to know what are the consequences of doing so. What kind of steps I have to take to put me out of risks. I am now changed my mind and don't want to sue the Defendant. The main reason is that that I need to go for liability trial because my insurance company admitted liability for the accident. I don't want to bother you with the details of the accident. All I want to say is that the liability is disputable and there were no witnesses of the accident so I found very hard to prove anything. The Defendant was driving too fast indeed thought there are no brake marks witch could speak for me. It's been 2 and a half years since the accident and I would just like to focus my energy on my present life and do not waist my time for something what happened in the past and it's hard to prove. I'd be very grateful if you can assist me with this issue. Thank you.

Pete

Answer
Hi Pete,

Unfortunately, being based in the U.S., I am not familiar with U.K. Insurance regulations and laws. I do not understand the term "no fee no win". However, it is my understanding that if you want to withdraw your claim, you would simply conntact your insurance company and tell them so. If you have an attorney, you should also inform him/her.

I do not have any better info to provide you. You should pose this question dierectly to your insurance company to see what advise they have.

I hope this helps
