Auto Insurance Claims: loss payee question, tractor trailor, lien holder

Question
My insurance company is trying to force me to accept a 2 party check for my damages done to my tractor trailor. I own my vehicle free and clear no liens. I am legal title holder. My insurance company is based in michigan. my vehicle is registered and titled where I live in north carolina. Do I have a right to demand otherwise for payment?

Answer
If your vehicle is already in a shop, it is likely the shop that has requested that the check be 2 party for their own protection.  Many people waste the time, facilities and resources of shops to drive estimates up and then pull their vehicles out without paying. Yes, there are some very selfish, greedy folks in this world...

I'm not sure of any other reason other than a valid lien holder that would be an issue.
