Auto Insurance Claims: what happens at a EUO (auto theft claim), sworn oath, polygraph test

Question
What is a EUO and is it the same as a polygraph test?  Why are they dragging me through all this BS!  There are still honest people with bad credit (that is what a friend told me why they are BS).

Answer
Hi John,
An EUO is a deposition under oath of the circumstances surrounding your claim.
Something about your claim has caused a 'red flag' of suspicion and now the insurance company wants more information under sworn oath.
The insurance company will be represented by one or more attorneys, there will be a court reporter to transcribe every word spoken and it's possible that the deposition will be filmed.
This is a serious situation that you do not want to walk into blindly.
I strongly advise you to secure legal representation to discuss the matter before the deposition and to be with you during the deposition.

I hope this information has been of help.
