Auto Insurance Claims: Damage, rear quarter panel, 2007 dodge 2500

Question
I was driving across a parking lot when a person t-boned me in my 2007 dodge 2500 pickup with 15,000 miles. She hit the rear quarter panel on both sides of the wheel pushing it in about 1 foot. The body shop want to repair the panel and I want it replaced. What do i do?

Answer
Hi Mark,

If the panel can be repaired then it will be. If you do not agree with the body shop, take your vehicle to another body shop for a second opinion. If the vehicle is not drivable then take several pictures of the damage, print them out and take the pictures to another body shop to see if they can tell from the pictures if it can be repaired or should be replaced.

I hope this helps
