Auto Insurance Claims: Rear-ended, devone, insurance company

I was rear-ended this weekend (in CA) and I was wondering if I can ask the other driver's insurance company to pay me directly rather than paying the repair facility.  Is that possible?

Hi Devone-

From my experience they are going to determine how much they will pay based on what it would cost at their repair facility.  Then if you want to take it to your own facility or fix it yourself or whatever they will give the money to you.
