Auto Insurance Claims: release forms for bodily injury, car damages, fender bender

Question
I was involved in a parking lot fender bender. We were both backing out and nicked each other's cars. There was no bodily injury to either party. We were both at fault but but damage appears minimal. Neither would admit responsbility and we have decided to see what the repair costs are before we decide to file with our insurance. It's questionable whether his is still valid. Police would not come out as there was no injury. What I need is a form stating we were involved in an accident and no bodily injury occurred. Naturally we waive any rights to sue for such. We are both in California hence why I poe the question and request to you.

We haven't resolved the vehicle damage yet and want to avoid filing claims. But should the need arise I want to make sure there is no bodily injury claim filed also. Would it be better to wait to see how we plan to resolve car damages first? I'm afraid the cost will be higher than expected and he files addition bodily injury claims.

Answer
Hi Josh-

I think you would need to find an attorney to write something for you.  You might be able to find something generic online if you search.  It may be worth joining a prepaid legal so you can have them do it for you.

Sorry I could not have been more help.
