Auto Insurance Claims: car accident, sons insurance, misissippi

okay, I went to a local pub here in misissippi. I was un able to drive my self home. so this guy said he would drive me in my sons truck that is registered in my name ,but i am not thr primary driver of the truck. well this guy starting popping drugs and drivina at an extremly fast speed 95 mph. i asked himr to slow down several times. well we ended up in a wreck, i have liability and unisured motorist. since i have ful coverage on my own truck will it follow me to fix my sons truck? i ended up going trough the passenger wind sheild at around 50 to 60 miles an hour. any advice or help, by the way the guy fled the seen but i have 9 witness that said he was driving.

Hi Perry,

In most cases the insurance follows the vehicle not the driver or passengers. So in this case it would by your sons insurance that would be in play. In some circumstances you may be able to claim some injuries on your own policy, however, you would need to discuss that with your insurance company or a local attorney.
