Auto Insurance Claims: premium raise due to an accident, fender bender, first insurance

Question
Hi rechard,
I am with Geico insurance and currently pay 57$ premium. I've recently had a fender bender accident . the damage to the other vehicle is 500-600$.
I am 23 years old, My license is issued on May 2007 and this is my first car and first insurance.
I have claimed the accident to the insurance company.
Could you please give me a rough estimate how much my premium will change assuming I will not have an accident up to next six months(when the current policy expires),
I know it may depend on many factors, but just a rough estimate is enough for me for example is it somthing like 30-40% or more than 100%?
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Amin,

It is hard to say because each insurance company has their own unique guidlines. However, I would estimate that it could be 25% to 35%.

To be sure, you can call Geico and simply ask them. They will be able to tell you based on their guidlines.

I hope this helps
