Auto Insurance Claims: Camaro Stolen, 1998 z28 camaro, gm products

Question
My 1998 Z28 Camaro was stolen, and my insurance company is saying there no way it couldn't be stolen without someone having the keys. They say i must have left the keys in it, which i didn't because i have them with me, and there implying that i had something to do with it. My question is this, can my car be stolen without the keys?

Answer
Hi John,

Insurance companies will often try to accuse people of having their own car stolen. They are just trying to shake you up and scare you in to admitting you did it.

Yes your vehicle is very easy to steal. In fact almost all GM products are easy to steal.

The insurance company has 60 days to investigate and then either pay the claim or deny it in writing. You comply with any of their requests and just let them do their thing. If you did not have anything to do with the theft, then you have nothing to worry about.

I hope this help
