Auto Insurance Claims: entitlement, insurance adjuster, own insurance

Question
I was involved in a rear ending at a Car Wash. 6 cars involved but only myself and my daughter were in our vehicle. The business did accept liability, but I am unsure as to what we are entitled to.  My daughter and I are both receiving ongoing medical for neck and back injuriers. My own insurance adjuster says that I have to deal directly with the responsible party but I am unsure how to go about that. Thank you so much for your quick response.

Answer
Hi Veronica,

I'm not really sure what you are asking me.

What you need to do is to call the at fault persons insurance company to be sure they are paying to repair your car. As far as your injury, you need to document all of your treatment and the costs. Then when all of your treatment is complete, you will send a demand letter telling them how much money you want to settle your claim. In most cases it will be 2 to 5 times the cost of the medical bills. If the insurance company does not treat you fairly, you shoudl seek the advice of an attorney.

I hope this helps
