QUESTION: Just a few more details to ask about.  I have the original papers of date of delivery to my great uncle of 3-31-66. It still gets 25 - 30 miles per gallon.  We drive it on a regular basis and it was recently driven for a 600 mile fishing trip.  It has a 3-on-tree plus overdrive. There is no rust with original turquoise paint and white top.  The interior is in pretty good shape.  There is some slight cracking on the dashpad and also some seam pull on upholstery.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Sounds like a beauty ...

a 68 American recently was being offered for sale  here for $4500, it was running, no rust , recently overhauled and ready for the road.  It did not sell, but the car market is way down
take a look here , many auction results

you could also contact web based Rambler forums, they are a good source of information

What you have going for you is that it is original, and they are only that way once.  In front of the right people you may be able to get more than just trying to sell it outright to the casual buyer.
The Mercedes market is the same and have done much better in sales talking to those that know the car.
Good Luck
