Auto Insurance Claims: Total loss, No License..No Liability

Question
I was involved in an accident where a semi rear ended me causing me to spin around on the freeway. I have insurance but no license. Will the semi truck's insurance pay my car out?

Answer
Veronica, thank you for your question!

While I'm not aware of where you reside or the laws of your particular state I would say yes, the accident and resulting damages are the result of the other party's negligence and they would owe for the repair of your damages as well as the resulting diminution in value your vehicle may suffer as a result. For more information on diminished value (DV) visit our website @ www.AutoDamageExperts.com.

Consider this: A person is legally drunk and sitting in their vehicle (without the keys in the ignition) awaiting a ride when someone else backs into their vehicle....who would be at fault?

Hope this helps!

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable Independance Day!
