Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 93 Accord Low pressure vavle, rough summer, pressure valve

Question
Location of the low pressure valve on 1993 Honda Accord SE? We're havin a heat wave & my ac needs a charge...please help

Answer
Tracy,
I know the feeling, this has been a rough summer pretty much everywhere, I think. I know it keeps me busy on here. :)
If I recall correctly, your Accord's low pressure port is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, close to your strut tower. It should be directly connected into your low side refrigerant line. And if you still have them on there, it should also have a blue cap covering the post, or a black cap with an "L" on the top of it.

If my memory is failing, and I am wrong, it is not too difficult to find by tracing your lines. Start with your compressor, and follow each line coming out of it. There will be a service port on each. One will be larger than the other though, and the smaller of the two is your low side.

I will also say that if you have to charge your system, then it goes without saying that you difnately have a leak. I recommend you have that leak found and repaired, or you may be doing the same thing again in the near future.

I hope I was of a little help, If I can do anything more, just let me know. Thank you for the question and good luck.
