No, there's a compressor control relay between the compressor clutch and Fuse#5 (15A -- in the underhood fuseblock) in the Relay Center. Fusible links are generally between the battery and any power distribution centers (i.e. fuse blocks, etc.), and have been taken over in recent years by the Maxi-fuse (easier to replace). The location of the A/C relay should be in the left relay center, all the way to the left (viewing from the front of the car).
