Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: auto air conditioner low pressure switch, auto air conditioner, schrader valve

Question
steps to follow in replacing air conditioner low pressure switch
1995 ford mustang

Answer
If you are refering to the 2 wire terminal LOW PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH mounted on the receiver/dryer (accumulator) This switch simply unscrews from the receiver/dryer (accumulator) as their is a schrader valve much like the schrader valve valve in your tire stem on your tire where you put air in the tire.

There is a schrader valve built into the fitting on the receiver/dryer (accumulator) where the LOW PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH is threaded onto. You do NOT have to discharge the system to change the switch.

Simply unscrew the old LOW PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH and install a new one.

Make sure for SAFETY from possible eye and or finger(s) damage caused by getting excessive refrigerant onto your person remove it while wearing gloves and safety glasses just in case the schrader valve that is built into the fitting is faulty thus causing a rapid leak of refrigerant from the fitting. This possible leak is extremly rare but it is possible so use safety measures as described above just in case.

WHY do you need to replace the LOW PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH ?.
