Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee A/C, jeep grand cherokee, jeep grand cherokee limited

Question
My 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited air condition is leaking water into the inside of the car instead of the outside like its supposed to and soaking the carpet.

What could be wrong and how do i fix this?
Is there something that I can do myself to remedy this without taking it to the dealer?

I had to replace the evaporator core two years ago (Aug 02). it's been working great since then, up until a couple of months ago when it started dripping a little on the inside. now it seems to practically run in instead of dripping.

Thanks,
William

Answer
When you reassembled the evap housing do you remember seeing a small rubber DRAIN hose or possibly just a hole about as thick as your little finger at the bottom of the housing during reassembly ?. In most cases this hose and or hole has become blocked with normal debris and needs to be flushed out. You can blow compressed air up into the hose and or hole to dislodge the debris.

A very common problem that may require future same flushing.
