How do you remove the back bumper on a 71 Mustang Mach 1

Hi Daryl!....Bumpers on these Mustangs, from 1964 right up until 1973, are bolted from the outside, therefore the retaining nuts should be on the inside of the trunk compartment. If there is a trunk liner inside, you will obviously need to remove it. Once this is done, the carriage bolt nuts should be visible. If memory serves me correctly, these will be either 3/8 or 7/16 bolts. I would recommend spraying them with a penetrating oil, and even let it soak in overnight before trying to remove them....Hope this helps you out...If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write me back....Thanks....Dave
