Auto body repair & detailing: Rear Bumper Cover Repair, full coverage insurance, repair materials

Question
Hello, I was bumped on the way home tonight, I have a 2005 Durango, got a little of the bumper beam which pierced the fascia cover. Its about and inch squared, I already managed to pop the crack back in but was wondering what I should do to repair. I have the Mopar paint and clear coat already. Just need to figure out the best way to repair. I ve seen some forums saying to drill some holes so the bondo will spill thru the back.

Answer
I take it you do not have full coverage insurance or a very high deductible. That is a pretty new car to be hacking up that way.
3M makes a decent plastic repair adhesive-filler. Use bondo as a last resort or if it's an old junker you you want to pawn off. Go to a body shop supply store and ask about bumper repair materials, they should be able to set you up with everything to do it right.
Bondo type fillers are not meant for flexible parts.
After market bumpers are reasonable too.
