Next time, do your own homework. Pot life is how long a mixed, catalyzed paint can set, mixed, before it starts to set up. The material will actually turn to a jello like substance. That is why you  never return mixed clear, primer, or sealer back into it's original container. The catalyst will eventually catalyze the entire contents of the container. Tell your teacher I want an A for this. Bill
