Mitsubishi Repair: no power to center console, fuse box, stock radio

Question
So one more quick question - i checked the plugs behind the radio and the
lighter, and i've got the lighter working now, but the clock and the radio still
aren't getting power.  I've checked all the fuses under the steering wheel.
Any other suggestions?

-----Question-----
Hi-
I have a 2001 mirage, and for some reason, the lighter, the clock, and the
radio
are not getting power anymore.  The light behind the lighter does light up,
though.  Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Thanks

Hi Jon,

You didn't mention that you've checked the fuse so I'd have to say do that
first. If you've made any modifications to the vehicle (new stereo?) you may
have disconnected the modular plug that powers these items.

Good Luck!

Answer
Hi again, Jon,

Not sure if it's a stock radio or not or if the clock is a part of the radio unit but it's not unusual for radios to have fuses built into them on the back. You may want to check that fuse, too. As you said you got the lighter working I'm going to assume that you found a plug that had come undone. You may want to check and see if there may be another modular plug in the same situation. Beyond that the only thing I can think of is that you have an 'open' in your power system somewhere (wire that has been cut or broken). To my knowledge there really aren't any other fuses that operate those pieces of equipment (unless you can find a 'clock' fuse). You could check the fuse box in the engine compartment but I don't think any of those pertain to the console equipment. I doubt any fusible links are gone but it couldn't hurt to check those either. Let me know how it goes.

Good Luck!
