Auto body repair & detailing: Repair 2006 Honda Civic EX Sedan, honda civic ex sedan, body filler

Question
In order to avoid a major collision, our Civic EX Sedan had an impact with a high intersection curb. The damage is located under the right front passenger door and appears to be confinded to rocker panel area. It is now creased approximately 12 inches in length under the door and has become mis-shapped. What is involved in fixing a problem like this and would would should I approximately expect to pay for such a repair?

Thank you very much!

Answer
Depending on if there are any tears or rips in the panel the panel should be repairable.Tabs of metal would be welded to the rocker and the damage would then be pulled out.Body filler is then applied, sanded smooth then refinished. If the damage is too bad the rocker can be sectioned in with a new part,or a replacement section from a junkyard.Expect to pay between 500 to 1000 dollars for the repair. Also have the shop look for any suspension damage or damage to the floor while they have the car.
