Auto body repair & detailing: paint my car, pontiac trans am, gargage

Question
I would like to paint my 1977 pontiac trans am in my gargage. I am striping the car and putting it in epoxy primer what is the best finish for me to use on this car? I would like to do a base coat clear coat finish. I am planning to color sand and buff out the clear coat. I only drive this car on the weekend but want it to look nice for a long time.

Answer
Carl my man, urethane clear coat is the best finish for you to use. You can get a fast dry clear coat for painting in you garage. First wet down your whole garage with a garden hose to keep down dust before you paint. For the easiest buffing water sand and buff the next day if you let it go to long the paint will get to hard and buff like a rock. Clear coat will give you a long lasting durable finish with a deep shine.
