Auto body repair & detailing: replacing airbags and sensors, crash sensors, screw drivers

Question
I have a 2004 honda civic lx 2dr coupe. It is hit in the front. Both airbags have deployed. The drivers seat belt is in a lock position. I need to replace the bags and sensors. What all will I need? What all needs to be done and replaced to get everything right? thanks Russ

Answer
First disconnect the battery and leave it sit for 15 minutes because they have a back up power supply. This is complicated repair for novice. But you need some screw drivers and a metric socket set. You will have to replace the air bags and then read the codes that the car gives you for what else you need to replace. Possibly the steering wheel sliding contact, front crash sensors, diagnostic monitor, and that seat belt that is lock up.
