Auto body repair & detailing: auto body restoration, auto body restoration, sand blaster

Question
I have just aquired a 1941 Chevy truck I plan to restore. Is the best way to remove old paint and rust sandblasting?

Answer
Yes sand blasting is the best way to get to bare metal. But do not get to close to the panel with the sand blaster because it can warp the metal. Be sure you can tackle the repair not long after you sand blast don't leave it in bare metal long. If you can't do the repairs in a timely fashion. Do it a few panels at a time. After you have the body work done use a etch primer first than use a primer surfacer.
