Auto body repair & detailing: Pathfinder - hole in front bumper., bumper on my suv, silver coating

Hi,
  Just wanted some advice on how to fix a hole in the front bumper on my SUV. On the left side of the bumper the silver coating was peeling off and had some rust under. When I pulled it off and just started to clean up the rust a hole occurred. Anyway I continued to sand and remove most of the rust but now left with the hole about 2 inches. Any advice on how I should go about and fix the hole without replacing the complete bumper.

Myself personally,I would just replace it. They are very inexpensive and more trouble to fix than replace.
If you decide to fix it, if it's metal, you need to weld it, also if crome re chrome. It's just not worth it.
