Chrysler Repair: Cirrus 95 wouldnt start, crank sensor, fuel pumps

Question
Hi Doug, I have a cirrus 95 2.5L v6 and the car  have a ignition problem, i drive car for a while and when is warming up, the car turn it off, and the check engine light doesn't it on again, and the car don't start, I replace the crank sensor and distribuitor too.
Please help me, or I burn it my car.

Answer
That particular engine is well known for having no-start.  You've replaced the crank sensor and the distributor.  So you've already parted with $500.00 or more depending on source for the distr.

If your check engine light doesn't come on when you try and crank the car back up I would suspect the engine controller (PCM).

Try not to laugh too hard but in the event that the car doesn't start and you have a helper.... have them try and crank the car while you beat on the computer.  It's the larger silver box near the fuse relay center under the hood.  It should have 2 40 pin connectors on it.  Now... when I say beat I don't mean with a hammer.  Maybe with the rubber end of it or light taps with a section of 2x4.  It's funny to see but starters, computers and fuel pumps FREQUENTLY get patched with a hammer until you can actually get it fixed.

Try that.
