Auto body repair & detailing: Scratched/dented rear quarter, body filler, quarter thanks

Question
Thanks, understood...In that case, can you tell me a reasonable range for prices?  Would I have to have the stripe redone by the dealer (it's a decal)?

This morning I scraped my rear right quarter of my 2005 Mustang along a dumpster while dodging a car in a narrow alley.  A small scratch begins on the door (no metal damage to the door) and gets broader all the way accross the top of the wheel well.  There is a definite depression/dent on the lower panel just behind the door, and the black stripe down the side is torn up a bit.  I'd say overall there's about a square foot of surface area that's scratched/dented.  Can you give me an idea of what to expect when I walk into a detailer (cost/type of repairs)?  I want the dent repaired, not filled in - do I need to specify this?  Would the car dealer be able to do this with any more ability than a body shop?

understand something your car allready has body filler in it. it comes with it from the factory it is where all seams. meet . like the roof the your 1/4s your windshield to the front post. your 1.4s to the rocker. they all have filler every make and model. there is no body dent that can be repaired with out body filler. sorry.. if the paint was not damaged you could try a paintless repair. but that is only with dents that are small like a quarter size .. as long as you go to a good body shop . you will never know it.. ask your ins comp for rec on bodyshop. they only rec. the best. its there name that is riding on it. good luck hope this helps

Answer
its what you said it is . it s a decal. get it yourself from a dealer you will save at least 25 percent . to paint it they would have to take it off anyway. it only takes around 15 min to put back on. as far as price  sorry but with out pictures i really don't know. ut from what you are saying i would guess around 1000.00 plus the price of the decal.. sorry ..
