Auto body repair & detailing: interior refinishing, screw driver, plastic covers

Question
I want to redo the lining of my Durango.  I know how to do basics but I don't know how to remove all the trim without breaking it.  I also wanted to redo the fabric on the doors.  I just don't want to do more damage and it end up costing more than taking it in.  Can you help me?
   Thanks in advance...Kate

Answer
Kate,
You will want to look very carefully for the screws.  Somtimes they are under small plastic covers, for instance, in the door handle, door arm rest.  Once you are confident you have them all out, the door trims will still be held on with plastic clips.  Start at the bottom of the door and pull out straight.  Sometimes you must use a putty knife or straight screw driver to get it started.  Be careful not to damage the trim too much.  Wrapping the screw driver in tape will help lessen the damage.
If you are doing the roof liner and have grab handles, they are usually on with screws.  They will be under small palstic covers on each end.
If you have any more questions, please ask.
