Could you please tell me how to adjust the rear brake shoes on a 1986 323 mazda.

Hi Keith thanks for asking
They should not have to be adjusted, they should adjust by them self while driving the vehicle in reverse and appling the brakes. But if they are out of adjustemnt then the adjuster needs to be serviced. It may be seized. Take the reake brakes apart to the point where you can get it out and clean it up. adjust it to the point where the brakes just touch the drum and when you have the wheel on spin the wheel by hand and there should be just a little bit of drag in the wheel and that way you can tell if it properly adjusted.
