Auto Glass: 2006 Tacoma Side window, tacoma double cab, regulator problem

Question
I have a 2006 Tacoma double cab.  About 6 months ago I was a victim of a "smash and grab".  I had to have my front door passenger side glass replaced.  After about 3 months, one of the shoes that attach to the glass snapped.  The company that did the original repair offers a lifetime warranty and promptly replace the window.  After about two months, a shoe snapped again.  They replaced it, double checked that there was no binding and sprayed some silicone in vertical channel(seals).  All seemed well and this past weekend, a shoe snapped again.  Other than finding a new source to supply the replacement glass, so you have any other suggestions?  The company I use is very reputable(most area car dealers use them).  They will replace the glass for the 3rd time, no questions asked.  I just want to try and find the root of the problem and hopefully put an end to this.  Thank you, John

Answer
Hi John,

You may have me stumped!  Has the installing company contacted their glass supplier to see if there is a widespread problem with this piece of glass?  Otherwise, the only logical explanation would be to look for some sort of binding, misalignment, or bent regulator problem to explain why the shoe is breaking.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
