Auto Glass: how do you remove the front passenger door panel on a 2002 ford explorer, control switches, lock switch

Question
I saw your answer to someone else and I don't want to seem goofy, but;

1. where do I "Carefully pry off the door handle trim" at?

Is this the trim that is vertically flat against the door panel which does look like an insert and held in by some type of clips? So I "Carefully pry" around it? With something flat?

2. where do I "Remove the armrest control switch by prying up (carefully) on the front edge" at?

Is this what seems to be the removable piece that the window up/down & door lock switch is held into? And I just pry/lift it up from the front edge towards the front of the car? It also seems that it is held in place against the door panel by a clip or type of latch?

I'm guessing once I get to this point I'll see the "Trim panel retaining screw inside the switch opening"?

And I can see the two screws on the "outside at the bottom of the panel" already.

Answer
Hi Joel,

Yeah, pictures would probably help, but it sounds like you got it.

1.  You can pry out the door handle trim with a small screwdriver.

2.  It's the front section of the armrest that contains the control switches.  Once you remove that piece, you will see the retaining screw.

Thanks,
Kevin
