Automotive Plastics: Help needed please, adhesion, polymer

Question
Hello sir, i really hope that you can help me with this, i need to produce high electrostatic adhesion force between a wall and a material. my question is what would be the best material for that ? and how can i implement the design,  that is, how to do the whole operation ?

i really need your help
Thank you very much for your time

Answer
Dear Hazem, I am afraid that I ain't the right person to answer your kind question. However, as far as plastics are concerned, specially when dealing with polyolefines which are as the name suggests oil derivatives, I improve adhesion between two plastics, a plastic and a metal or any other material by treating the polymer surface with a non oxidizing flame for a few seconds. This greatly diminish surface tension and prepare the plastic to receive an adhesive, a coating a paint and so on. My personal experience involving electrostatics is when you have to apply a flock coating to a plastic. In this procedure you charge very small nylon fibers that are attracted  to an otherwise charged surface previously coated with a suitable adhesive for a velvety finish. The tool used is a high voltage device.  May be this be of some help to you. You can find more info in the web by searching under FLOCKING. Thanks a lot.
