Question

Answer
Then I would guess that you have a burned or bent valve on that cylinder.  If the engine is not making any unusual tapping noises, it is probably a burned exhaust valve.  I would pull the cam cover and look at the camshaft that activates that valve, just to make sure that the cam lobe isn't wiped.  You should be able to get a good idea of whether it's burned or bent from the way it moves.  Of course, that makes no difference, the head has to come off either way.  If the engine has a lot of miles, I would consider replacing it with a good low-mileage used engine.  If not, then check that injector to make sure it is functioning correctly.   A lean mixture from a dirty or malfunctioning injector could cause the valve to burn (and will burn any new valve just as quickly).  The engine will seem to have a lot more power loss than the 1/6 from the non-firing cylinder because the leaking valve upsets the airflow in both the intake and exhaust tracts, as well as unbalancing the forces on the crankshaft.  Good luck.
