Auto Parts: 1994 F150 Headlight switch, odd locations, ford f150

Question
My headlight switch is going out and I need to know how to get the switch knob off in order to change it.  And also does the dash panel just pop off or is there some screws I'm not seeing. Any info would be helpful and thanks for your time!  94 Ford f150

Answer
Hi Jared,

You need to have access to the back of the switch in order to remove the pull. On the top of the switch is a small metal clip with a spring. Depress this button and then pull the pull straight out. You'll probably want to disconnect the battery before doing that because the headlights will be ON once the pull is removed.

The dash assembly is held in with bunches of screws in odd locations. I don't exactly know how to direct you to all of them except to say you should move slowly if you don't want to damage it. Start pulling screws and the dash at the same time, you'll soon start to see where the dash is binding and then just search closely around them spots to see if there are any clips of screws still installed.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
