i need to replace the driver rear speaker... i have a replacement speaker from the junk yard...how does the speaker come out??? thanks...amy

Hi Amy,

I've never replaced a speaker in a car. Honestly. I've been working on cars for 25 plus years and have yet to replace a factory speaker.

My best guess is you'll have access to the mounting screws through the trunk or by removing the package-shelf bezel if your vehicle is equipped with one.

The package shelf is the part that the speakers are mounted onto, the piece between the rear seat-back and the rear window. Sometimes that piece is just a cover held in with small Velcro tabs and removing it will give you access to the sheet-metal part of the package shelf which is where the speakers should be mounted.
