Auto Parts: PCM - Jeep Grand Cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, crank shaft position sensor

Question
I am having a fit with my Jeep. It runs good and then sometimes it will just shut off. I have replaced the Crank Shaft position sensor, Cam shaft position sensor and I have checked to see if the sensors are recieving 5 volts. Sometimes I can move the wires around and get it to start. I think that maybe the PCM is bad. Is there anyway I can check the PCM? Is the dealer the only ones that can check it? The jeep runs too good to just give up. Thanks for your help and answers.

Answer
Hi Joel,

One of the first things I do if I get a vehicle with an intermittent issue like that is a wiggle-test. Sounds like you've already done that. If the problem appears or goes away by wiggling wires, that's usually where you will find your problem. Either there is a loose connector or a shorted wire.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
