Nissan Repair: ROugh engine, power steering pump, accident check

Question
Dear Von,
Thanks for ur earlier responses. I could not send a followup hence this new question. My car was imported from USA by a local dealer here in UAE and apparently it had met with an accident but I didnt get a chance to get it checked with experts and bought the car. It had a very low mileage 7453miles and from the service chart I understand the car had its service once in 6 months and had done only 2 service. Well, back to the issue. Does Evaporative sensor issue cause the engine to run rough. I feel the pick up is very low and when gas is given it produces a roaring noise too. Await ur expert advice.Kind regards,Raj

Answer
Raj,

The evaporative system has the potential to cause the engine to run rough depending on the hose or clamp that is allowing a leak.  Now, the roaring noise could be the CVT transmission if the noise is in the location of the transmission. Other sources of a roaring noise could be associated with the accident.  Check for the accessory drive components such as the alternator, airconditioner or power steering pump being out of alignment.  Lastly, I would be checking on the codes to see if any are stored in memory.
