Auto Parts: broke outside driver side door handle, subaru forrester, internals

Question
The door handle broke on the outside driver side door on 2000 subaru forrester when I tried to open it.  It seems and looks okay untill I try to open then the handle part that opens the door just comes out of it's slot about 1/8" and the door will not open how do I replace it

I'm not very familiar with vehicles of the sort but the most likely answer is that the handle it self is riveted in place. you'll want to remove the inside door panel with the window fully closed, remove the plastic protectant off the inside of the door and you should have a decent visual of the internals.
