Car Alarms: 1998 nissan altima gxe car alarm, nissan altima gxe, nissan altima

Question
QUESTION: The door locks do not work, replaced the switch, still nothing. The owner says someone disconnected the alarm,as it always went off. I just want to get his door locks working again. He said they were in the fuse box, all fuses are good, and there are three spots open the normal fuse wont fit in. Do you know where I can go from here?

Please help!

ANSWER: If there was an after market alarm put in,
it could be that there were relays installed
on the lock wires. If unpowered, this could affect
the locks if the alarm was disconnected.

If the door locks were installed after market,
this too can be the reason they don't work.

Also, check the fuses under the hood too.
(Masters are there)

Good hunting.

QUESTION: Everything is factory, I just think they disconnected the alarm as it was going off and door power is tied in. Can I disable the alarm, and power up the door locks easily?

This deals with a bone stock car, and there are tons of alarm complaints online for this model, door locks, starting, all tied into this alarm unit.

Any advice to just get the door locks to work?

Thanks
