Car Alarms: CODE ALARM - Remote Starter not working, code alarm remote starter, brain box

Question
Hello, I have a Code Alarm CA-425 w/ Remote Start installed on a 98' Durango (runs well) for about 7 years now. About 2 yrs ago the remote starter stopped working.

When engaged, the running lights blink 4 times quickly and nothing else. All other functions(arm/disarm, lock/unlock) work just fine.

I have a black Valet Button and a Red Sleeved Safety Toggle switch. A year after the start stopped working the Red Toggle switch also fell off(soldering broke lose). Fuses(4 total= (2) in-line on 12V wires and (2) in brain box) have been pulled and all appear to be fine. Tach has been set and accepted by system.

My question is 2-fold; first, how can I get my remote starter to work again; second, if it involves re-soldering the toggle switch back into the system, can I use a replacement on/off switch of similar size?

Appreciate any advice you can provide, thanks!

Answer
Sounds like there is no tach signal being received.
But I am not a Code alarm installer, let
me direct you to my Forum.

Please go to
www.INSTALLSUPPORT.com
and in the search bar there,
type in the manufacturer of the alarm.

I believe you will find an older thread on
where to get more on this issue.

If no luck in the site search engine
you can also try asking Robert, the
forum moderator in my installers forum.

That's
INSTALLSUPPORT.COM

Good luck.
