Car Alarms: 1997 Rav4 rs3200 alarm problem, car alarm, keyless entry

I have a 1997 Rav4 with a rs3200 alarm system, but i've never had a remote key for it! I was told it was disconnect when i bought it in 2005. i've never had a problem with the alarm system until two months ago. I was driving down the freeway and all of a sudden the alarm was activited, horn was honking, lights flashing but the car was still driveable. We disconnected the battery twice over night and the problem "went away." Then yesterday the alarm started going off again just as before, we can get it to shut off for a few hours but then it will start up again! I have to revert to disconnecting the battery. What is making the alarm activate and How can i disconnect the alarm for good?

Have it removed professionally.
You will loose your keyless entry, but you can replace it with
one you like and understand better. At this point, take
it to the local car alarm/stereo installer to inspect
and repair. Then no more surprises.
