Mazda Repair: B2200 truck, blown head gasket, valve cover gasket

Question
I have a 1987 B2200 truck I recently purchased from my mother
who bought it new in '87.( only 80,000 miles on it) I replaced the
radiator  , valve cover gasket , distributor , plugs and plug wires
and had a great running and great looking truck.  Two days ago it
overheated on the way home. I was only five miles from home when
I noticed it was running hot so I kept going ( bad choice ) . Next
morning I started checking it out and discovered I had oil in my
radiator , it had even blown into the overflow cannister. I'm
assuming i have a blown head gasket or cracked head. Is a truck
this old worth repairing and how much should I expect to pay ?

Answer
Hi Milton thanks for asking.
you should be expecting to pay about 1500 dollars, and the questin of is it worth to fix, really depends on the shape of the truck, and wether or not you wana keep it or not. If the head is cracked or even the block then it can get even more expensive.
good luck
