Car Alarms: 2003 CRV car alarm, pioneer navigation, valet service

Question
I have a Pioneer Navigation system in my CRV and coincidentally after my husband upgraded the system my car alarm started acting up.  My husband had parked  my car and when I went to get in it the driver's door was not locked so I opened it setting off the alarm.  I was able to deactivate the alarm with my remote. I went to the store and when I attempted to activate the alarm all the doors locked except for the driver's door. I manually locked the driver's door which set the alarm. (I could see the blue light flashing) When I returned to the car the remote would not unlock the door, I had to use my key setting off the alarm. I was able to turn off the alarm with my remote.  When I returned home I set the alarm.  None of the doors locked so I opened a door setting off the alarm which at this time would not turn off with the remote.  The alarm kept going off every 30 seconds and finally stopped.  The car is in my garage and I am afraid to touch it!  The blue light is flashing.  Help!

Answer
Ok, alarm seems to be in long tamper mode.
Let's try to put it into valet/service mode.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

This solves the problem for now.
Repeat these steps to go back into user mode
and it should work as before at this point.

Good luck.

Have a nice afternoon.
