Car Alarms: factory alarm, valet mode, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
QUESTION: I have a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse How to i disable the alarm cause i dont really need it. Ive been having trouble everytime I open door it goes off.

ANSWER: Right, Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area, usually to the left
of the leg, drilled into a plactic panel.
Might even be part of an on glass antenna
in the widshield if it's a remote starter,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm and allow you to
go on your way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.

Good luck.

QUESTION: I didnt see the button and it doesnt have a LED Light on dash. I have remote to it but it wont cut off the alarm and it still sounds when I unlock it.

Answer
Ok, usually located at the left leg area drilled into the plastic
panel covering the wire pack going out to the drivers side door.

It can also be part of the antenna on the windshield if installed
or, even part of the LED light if it's a Code Alarm system.

Hard to say since I am not there to inspect, but keep searching.
If no joy, try taking it up to the local car alarm installer
to search it out.

Wish I had more for ya.

Have a good one, hope it works out!
